The focal point of the ensemble's activities is the performance of composer portraits, particularly those from the Swiss new music scene. Guest performances have let the formation to Vienna, Paris, Moscow and repeatedly to Latin America. The Ensemble Opera Nova has been under the interim direction of Jean-Jacques Dünki since 2005.
