Ensemble "Polysono"
"Polysono" is a chamber music ensemble with variable instrumentation dealing primarily with the performance of contemporary music, this can also occur in conjunction with other genres of art including literature and painting. It is the intention of "Polysono" to perform music composed for an uncommon instrumental constellation, an example being soprano, flute and piano. Solos, duos and trios by a range of composers are set in contrast and demonstrate thereby the various structural aspects of the respectively chosen special instrumentation – this also includes world premieres where possible. The chiefly stylistically broad programme documents the different compositional possibilities found within the respective instrumentations, and the way in which the composers dealt with them. In the frequently commentated concerts the form of the programme thus attempts to combine almost didactic-pedagogical characteristics with artistic demands.
