Biography
Alfred Ehrismann was born in Winterthur, 1926. Following his undergraduate studies he studied music at Winterthur Conservatory, the University of Zurich and the Conservatoire Nationale de Paris under Lazare-lévy. Alfred Cortot and in particular his friend Edwin Fischer played significant roles in his further development. After 1947 he performed at home and abroad in piano recitals and as a chamber musician and soloist in symphony concerts under the direction of Volkmar Andreae, R.F. Denzler, Desarzens, Galliera, Münch, Erich Schmid and others. Ehrismann taught at the Winterthur / Zurich School of Music.
