- Born in Bern, Switzerland
- Piano studies in Basel and Bern with Jürg Wyttenbach, Urs Peter Schneider, Erika Radermacher and Jörg Ewald Dähler
- Master courses with György Kurtág and others
1987 - Soloist's prize awarded by the Swiss Association of Musicians
- Appearances at home and abroad in solo programmes as soloist (under the direction of Jürg Wyttenbach and Heinz Holliger amongst others) or in chamber music concerts
- Free improvisation concerts (together with Irene Schweizer, Paul Lovens, Rajesh Mehta, Alfred Zimerlin and others)
- Collaboration with artists from other disciplines (acting, pantomime, dance, action painting) forms a large part of her work
- Radio and CD recordings
Katharina Weber teaches piano and improvisation at the music school and college of Bern.
