The Dauprat-Hornquartett, named after the French horn virtuoso Louis-François Dauprat (1781-1868) and founded in 1982, consists of Peter Bromig, solo hornist with the SWR Symphony Orchestra, Olivier Darbellay, solo hornist with the Berne Symphony Orchestra, Daniel Lienhard, low hornist with the Berne Symphony Orchestra and Jörg Dusemund, low hornist with the Badischen Staatskapelle. The aim of the quartet is to perform works for four horns from all stylistic areas. The Dauprat-Hornquartett have recorded for radio in various countries and performed at concerts in Berlin, Vienna, Prague, Paris and Venice.
