His education continued under Walter Grimmer at Zurich University of the Arts/Music, where he received his concert diploma with distinction in 2002. His studies were supplemented with courses in composition given by Manfred Stahnke at the Hamburg University of Music and Theatre (2004 - 2006), master classes headed by Claude Starck, Colin Carr and Ivan Chiffoleau (violoncello), and under the tutelage of Marc-André Dalbavie and Helmut Lachenmann (composition).
